Where to look

Masterton Trust Lands Trust provides grants primarily for education, arts, culture and community development in Masterton.  We work with other local funders to help grant applicants understand where to best direct their grant application.

EASTERN & CENTRAL COMMUNITY TRUST

Eastern & Central Community Trust is an independent, charitable trust, and is open and accountable to its community. The Trust regularly donates money to community groups within its area; donations amount to around $5 million per annum. The aim is to help these groups achieve the things they believe will make their communities a better place for all who live there. Donations are for charitable, cultural, philanthropic and recreational projects or services. If a community group identifies a special need and shows a commitment to helping itself, it will receive consideration.

GREYTOWN TRUST LANDS

Greytown Trust Lands is a non-profit organisation governed by an Act of Parliament. It owns and manages property (generally) on a commercial basis, with all profits being made available to the community via education and community grants. Individual applicants must reside or have resided within the Trust’s District (i.e. the Greytown Ward of the South Wairarapa District) for at least one year.  Organisations, charitable trusts and incorporated societies must currently operate within the Greytown District electoral ward.

TRUST HOUSE COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE

Trust House is a community-owned company. Its aim is to enhance the wellbeing of people in our region, by providing grant funding to local community organisations, projects and events via the Trust House Foundation, or sponsorship via Trust House Limited.  Local not-for-profit organisations such as incorporated societies and registered charities can apply.  Funding must go towards an event or initiative that enhances one or more of the communities in which Trust House trades: Wairarapa, Flaxmere, Pahiatua, Rimutaka or Porirua.
