A number of MTLT grants have supported environmental education programmes for early childhood and school groups at Pukaha Mount Bruce. School groups regularly visit the National Wildlife Centre to get up close and personal with some of New Zealand’s most endangered bird species and learn how Pukaha’s native forest is being restored.
