As part of our annual education grants programme, we offer the following scholarships to support young Masterton people further their education.
1. MTLT Retraining Scholarship: Scholarships of up to $2,000 to support individuals who are enrolled in or are intending to enrol in a course of study to facilitate a change of career. The scholarship is available to assist with the payment of course fees for recognised study/training programmes within New Zealand run by an approved education provider. More information here.
2. MTLT Tenant Apprentice Scholarship: Six scholarships of up to $1,000 each awarded each year to assist apprentices employed by MTLT tenants with industry training fees, essential work gear/tools, travel and other associated training costs. More information here.
3. Alan MacDiarmid Scholarship: Each year we award the Alan MacDiarmid Scholarship to the district’s top Chemistry student studying toward a science or science related degree. More information here.
4. Golden C'Art Scholarship: The Golden C'Art Scholarship is awarded to a top performing Wairarapa student in a fine arts subject (sculpture, painting, design, photography), provided that the recipient is going on to study a fine arts or arts related course at a New Zealand Tertiary Institution.
