Masterton Trust Lands Trust (MTLT) reported a new record of $2.1 million for community grants at its AGM yesterday.
In presenting the Trust’s 2026 Annual Report, chair Christine Brewster said the record $2.1 million distributed in community grants during 2025/26 demonstrated the Trust’s commitment to increasing its support for local organisations. “This year’s $2.1 million in grants for Masterton is a first in our history. It signals a level of investment in our community we intend to sustain.”
The Trust’s investment portfolio performed steadily through a difficult economic year. “Significant capital investment, moderate rental growth, and an expanding forestry asset together support the Trust’s ability to sustain grants funding into the future,” she explained.
