Commercial Experience

We’ve built a solid reputation for service and quality in Masterton’s commercial property market.

For more that 150 years the Trust has helped shape the town we see today, where our property portfolio is valued at more than $100 million. We manage around 50 commercial properties and 65 individual commercial leases. Our tenants include a mix of multinationals, national, and locally owned.

Multinational tenants include NZ Safety Blackwoods, Repco, PGG Wrightston and Gull Petroleum. National tenants include Foodstuffs (Pak n Save and New World), The Warehouse, City Fitness and Farmlands. Locally-owned businesses include Whaiora Medical Centre, My Ride Cycle Shop, Homegrown Butcher, Deli & Pantry, and Hell Pizza.

We have developed purpose-built facilities for many tenants, from small offices to tyre repair (Beaurepaires and Bridgestone), and also for larger occupiers such as Carpet Court and The Warehouse.

We manage a ground lease portfolio and have recently negotiated a modern 99-year ground lease with Wellington Free Ambulance that will house its new Wairarapa base.

We manage our portfolio in-house, including facilities management. This gives us intimate knowledge of our portfolio and ensures that we maintain contact with our tenants and their changing needs.

The Trust is an intergenerational owner, and as such we manage our buildings with this ethos.

With Masterton at the heart of all we do, we’re guided by our purpose – providing commercial property for community good.
